Se trata de un sobre que contiene las palabras dirigidas por José Pablo Martín en la clase inaugural de la Universidad Nacional de General Sarmiento, el 29 de mayo de 1995: "Dilemas de la Universidad en este fin de siglo". Son tres copias del mismo texto. La primera copia borrador, tiene anotaciones manuscritas en lápiz negro y la primer hoja está teñida del color del sobre contenedor. La siguiente, tiene algunas anotaciones y palabras resaltadas (incorporadas las notas de la versión previa y la paginación impresa). La última parece tratarse de la copia definitiva, con tipografía de mayor tamaño, algunas pocas correcciones y palabras resaltadas. La foja final se tiñó del color del sobre de cartón.
